ONE DAY, 8-HOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION SESSION FOR LICENSED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS
All NC Licensed Electrical Contractors are required to complete 8-hours of continuing education prior to the renewal date of their initial Electrical Contractor’s license. North Carolina Limited, Intermediate and Unlimited electrical contractors are required to complete 8-hours of continuing education every year. SP electrical contractors are required to complete 4-hours of continuing education every year in order to renew their license. Contact us for more details.
Continuing Education Class Details
This class is taught exclusively by Neel Hudson who has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He holds an Unlimited Electrical license and an Unlimited NC General Contractor license. He is a licensed NC Home Inspector and a Veteran of the US Air Force.
All new courses are approved by the NC Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors (NCBEEC) and NC Department of Insurance (NCDOI) for Electricians and Inspectors. The cost of in-person class is $140.

Chapter 87, Article 4; Article 250 - Grounding and Bonding; Article 625 - Electric Vehicle Power (8 hours)
This course is designed to review and discuss the current laws in Chapter 87, Article 4, referring to the electrical contractors’ laws. We will also cover current updates pertaining to license renewals, as well as many other topics in the General Statutes. We will uncover some unknown facts and information that will be useful to the contractor and his/her business. Participants will need to bring the NFPA 70 NEC 2023 Code Book.

2023 NEC Changes to the Code: Article 250 - Grounding and Bonding (4 hours)
We will be discussing the updates to Article 250, Grounding and Bonding, in depth. We will be discussing the difference between grounded and grounding methods, as well as grounded and grounding systems. Participants will need to bring the NFPA 70 NEC 2023 Code Book.

Electrical Contractor Licensing Law: Chapter 87 Article 4/2023 Changes to the Code; Article 625 (4 hours)
This course is designed to review and discuss the current laws in Chapter 87, Article 4, referring to the electrical contractors’ laws. We will be driving through Article 625 as we discuss updates to installation methods and locations, as well as over-current protection and protection for personnel.
